Safety innovator joins leading automotive trade association
Mission: reduce preventable deaths and injuries from crashes involving disabled vehicles
WASHINGTON, DC – Alliance for Automotive Innovation today announced safety technology innovator Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) has joined the organization’s roster of auto manufacturers, suppliers, advanced battery manufacturers, autonomous vehicle producers and semiconductor makers.
More than 340 preventable crashes involving disabled or stationary vehicles occur every day in the United States – a number that continues to rise.
Texas-based ESS was founded to reduce preventable deaths and injuries – globally – from crashes involving disabled and vulnerable vehicles. The Hazard Enhanced Location Protocol (H.E.L.P) delivers advanced warning to oncoming traffic, giving drivers more time to respond to disabled vehicles.
John Bozzella, president and CEO of Alliance for Automotive Innovation, said: “Alliance for Automotive Innovation is proud to welcome Emergency Safety Solutions to our association. Safety is a top priority for the automotive industry. ESS and its breakthrough H.E.L.P technology shares our commitment to helping save lives and prevent injuries on the roadways and will be a great addition to our safety advocacy in Washington and state capitals.”
Tom Metzger, CEO of Emergency Safety Solutions, said: "At Emergency Safety Solutions, we are committed to harnessing technology and innovation to prevent vehicle collisions and improve roadway safety worldwide. We are excited to join the Alliance for Automotive Innovation and to collaborate with fellow members to drive policies that enhance roadway safety for all."
