WASHINGTON, DC – Alliance for Automotive Innovation has named Megan Ekstrom as Vice President, Federal Affairs.
Ekstrom will lead the association’s federal advocacy program on Capitol Hill across a range of legislative and regulatory policy matters related to electrification, automation and connectivity.
She joins Alliance for Automotive Innovation from the Zillow Group where she led federal and state public affairs. Earlier, Ekstrom held senior government affairs and advocacy roles at Procter & Gamble, Motorcycle Riders Foundation and the International Fragrance Association.
John Bozzella, president and CEO of Alliance for Automotive Innovation, said: “Megan has experience helping companies and trade associations navigate the policymaking process. She’ll lead our work on Capitol Hill to communicate the massive transformation across the automotive industrial base and how it supports jobs and economic development in all corners of country.”
Ekstrom said: “The automotive industry is not just the backbone of American manufacturing – it’s critical to our nation’s economic security and global competitiveness. With rising competition from countries like China, government policies today will determine whether the U.S. leads in automotive innovation tomorrow. I’m honored to join this association and work alongside automakers, battery producers, suppliers and tech pioneers on solutions to ensure the U.S. remains a global leader.”
