Auto Innovators provided testimony at NHTSA’s public hearing on the proposed MY24-26 CAFE rule. This testimony continues to promote Auto Innovators’ commitment to ongoing GHG reductions and a transformation to electrification, which will require a number of important actions to help realize. This testimony, however, also draws out concerns about alignment between the NTHSA and EPA rules, the shift in OEM investments from ICE to EV technologies, statutory differences between the two agencies, and the need to balance the NHTSA approach with these considerations in mind.
