Auto Innovators submitted informal comments to Minnesota in response to its June 8 webinar on the SAFE Rule and updates to Minnesota’s data analysis. These comments reiterate concerns with Minnesota’s planned approach to ZEV credit banks, the lack of incentives and infrastructure in the state, and regulatory burden. Auto Innovators also raises some questions and clarifications on the updated data analysis, noting that review of the full draft analysis would be helpful. Separately, Minnesota’s special legislative session ended today without further action on legislation to increase EV infrastructure in the state.
